Equality doesn't just happen
We must recognize that we have a responsibility to do what is within our reach to help those less fortunate.
Have you ever wanted to make a difference in the world but didn't quite know how? Change-makers think big but start small. Oftentimes, it takes very little to make a positive impact in someone's life especially those that are unseen or overlooked due to extreme poverty.
Intentional investment equalizes the playing field and brings opportunity which empowers the poor so that they can become more than what their circumstances has allowed them to be.
We are all created in God’s Image So we must all be equal, right?
All people are created equal but not all people have equal opportunity. Poverty steals hope by stripping away the essential elements needed to develop into a well-rounded adult capable of giving back to their community.
Our TEMBEA NAMI-Walk With Me Generational Mentorship Model offers a new hope to lives ravaged by the inequalities of poverty. By training indigenous young adults to identify, invest in and walk alongside these invisible children, these precious children begin to see themselves and their true value. Our trained Ambassadors nurture this relationship with their Protegés and connect regularly; investing in them, learning about them and enjoying valuable time together. This may be the first time an orphan has had this one-on-one attention, investment, encouragement and love in their lives. Oftentimes, the Ambassador benefits from the relationship as much as the child gains.
Stories of Hope
Come be inspired by stories written by some of those who Empower Hope has impacted.
"One of the best gifts you can ever give to a child is to make him aware of the immense opportunities the future holds and instill in him a sense of self respect, belief and confidence in life. You are doing all these."
“Words are often inadequate to express my joy for your help. For sharing my dreams. For your invaluable help, support and patience, I say thank you, thank you!”
I was once invisible, but by God's grace, I was given a hand up.I may not be able to give back to specific people who helped me, However, being an Empower Hope Ambassador allows me to give back to my community by restoring hope to the hopeless."
